Remember amy childs innocence as they turn into teenagers
Child of Mine

Child of mine
I look at you
So fragile in your dreams
Tenderly your eyelashes curling softly against your cheek
With a soft murmur you turn away lost in sleep
A lock of golden hair touching your sweet brow

Child of mine
I sit on your bed and remember when
You were small and no thoughts disturbed your peace
Those years have gone on times winged feet

Child of mine
Teen years now have arrived
The child of years past still there
Hiding in the shadows peeking out
So sweet and innocent hiding out biding time

Child of mine
Help me remember this moment
When you were still cuddled under the blankets
Protected and caudled
When you still needed me
