Choices Made


Learning how to embrace the new,
Struggling to live with choices made,
Running from my inner most shame.

Left behind the crumbling fiction of loves terrible game,
The new world sequined and swathed in gold beckons me,
Shimmering in its intensity befuddling my mind.

Chaos's voice subdued, volume adjusted down
serene thoughts transcending my new reality

Gone is the violence of loves tragic demise
Surrendered once again
to choices made
