A true experience of a teenage girl.
I've never been to a party at all,
I imagine if l did, l'd have a ball,
Pretty dress, pink with lace,
Style my hair and make up my face,
Pretend l have a young man caller,
He'd ask my dad for his daughter,
I'll imagine that he drives a car,
Hands me roses, oh, l'd feel like a star,
Dad says it's ok but be home by ten,
He starts the car and my dream doesn't end.

I've never been to a party at all,
I imagine balloons and streamers like in the mall,
Candles and cakes, it would be so great,
Ice cream and lemonade to help celebrate,
A florist of flowers make it look so grand,
I'd congratulate the hoste and shake his hand,
Party hats bright and yet paper hard,
I'll bring some presents with a lovely card,
I'm sure l'd have heaps of fun,
Happy people aglow like the sun,

I've never been to a party at all,
But if l did, l'd be the bell of the ball,
I'd treasure it with all my heart,
It will stay in my memory as engraved art,
The party will end but I'll live on to tell,
But it's nothing but a dream, Oh hell,
I imagine it so real, but nothing is true,
I'll live with my dreams even though there few,
When l grow up l'll have many a nice friend,
I'll go to parties and the fun will never end.
