When hearing the word "friend" just isn't enough.
"Just Friends"

I never thought friend would be a hard word to hear,
but those words are my worest fear.
Demoted from lover to pal,
I thought you said you loved me, that was your vow.

Magic, everytime we touch
I miss you so much
Your soft lips held next to mine,
was "I love you" not a sign?

My hearts been broken before
after you left and walked out that door.
You cannot see the tears I've cried
because they're burried deep inside.

You ask if we can still be friends,
but I love you til the end.
The hardest thing about loving someone is knowing they don't love you back.
Making you think what you lack.

I love the way your tougue would tie
wanting the right word, you'd try.
Let me down easy is all I ask,
because we are "Just Friends" of the past.
