This is another poem that was written to help cope with the loss of a loved one.
Over lunches you'd tell me about

The hours you spent with him

Building it so that one day

It would fly.

By piecing that model plane together

He helped you with your Father.

Now he had flown away too.

And left the plane and its pieces behind.

I know those pieces are jumbled right now.

And you may spend hours reconstructing

Them back into a familar shape.

But through all of this

Remember what he taught you...

You don't have to piece everything back

Alone.

I won't take flight.

I'll remain grounded if you need me.
