The very breath you take.......
The Best Of Times

It’s got to be when you’re just a kid,
No worries, trials, or cares;
But maybe then the troubles are hid
With pressures hard to bear.

Teenage years are doubly hard,
Peer pressure rears its' head;
Easy times is peace that’s borrowed
Soon to rocky trails they’re led.

It must be when you meet your mate,
And children bless your life
But don’t know how those years would rate
When filled with endless strife.

How nice when duties of life are done,
And we rest in our golden years
We’ve fought the good fight and won
But somehow there still are tears.

So when is life the best of times,
When treasured times abound?
Too often now there’s naught a dime
No kindness or caring found.

My friend, it’s every breath you take each day,
Each word you speak in love
It’s spreading sunshine along the way
Doing the will of the Father above.
