Ruminations and reflections born in a moment of spent passion.

Silence falls
Deafening in its roar of apathy.

Is this all
We have to show for the strain:
Open hands...
Open wrists...
Open eyes in wonder?

We’ve come so far.
Still it seems so far away.

Lucid dreamers
Two intertwine
Lives impaled by chance
Branch away
The touch is blind
Motion impels motion
Growing wild
The wind can still be felt before the thunder we would not hear
Into each other
Intimating
Where our words will fail.

Desire falls
Sighing heavily
Regarding each without walls...
Startled
And fragile
As leaves shaken free in a moment of weakness....
Fluttering and lost to the gathering wind.

The storm seemed so far
From what we were
What we are is shifting....
The cardinal point is changing...
Despite our efforts not to.

The night’s torn from sleep with rage,
Whipped by gale back and forth.
Brimming eyes drop their rain,
Rushing down towards the earth to
Drown the anxious summer ground.
I cannot hear above the din raised and dropped and razed again.
Slipping fast- we’re helpless when
What seemed eternal’s torn from grasp....

Silence falls
Deafening in its roar of apathy.

Is this all
We have to show for our pain:
A dull ache of memory-
and distant scent of rain?
Clouds depart for our new day’s mantra....
A paradigmatic hope...
For a paradigm’s end.
