To live is to gamble.
  Alone I sit and wonder,
  confusion sets in.

  I wonder of the choices
that have led me to my present,
and those that linger in my past.

  With a blank gameface,
  I gamble.
  I gamble with life,
  mine and those close.

  Holding limited cards,
  I ponder.

  "Choose" boasts the voice
  that continually pushes forward,
  "Which cards will you keep
and which cards will you throw?
  Choose".

Each decision causes gain or loss,
  which is better?
  If something is gained,
will it be better than what was lost?

  Again confusion sets in.

  "Choose" boasts the voice
  louder now than before,
  "What will you keep
  and what will you throw?
  Choose".

  To question the outcome
  only entices frustration.
  Finally frustrated and confused,
  the voice comes again.

  "Choose".

Alas with no time left to ponder,
  I choose.
