The life of a swing.
Crickets play lullaby
as fireflies shine unseen kisses.
With words of promise and dream
moisture softens my chain with love.
A slight kiss and gentle push
laughter fills the air.

Remembering that night
I swing a memory for him.

Leaves fall in the wind
as a robin plucks the ground.
With words of anger and regret
moisture softens my chain with sorrow.
A slight moan and gentle push
cries fill the air.

Remembering that day
I swing motionless
with a memory of him.
