truth of the darker side of love and consciousness
A warm winter night mocks a cold heart,
I'm going nowhere and im late again....
So sorry for the lack of convenience,
I never meant to be any effort.
I turned my head and pretended not to notice,
I swear I never saw it coming......I'm no good at pretending.
How long did you know? My, how betrayal can be so swift and graceful.
A wounded hand in this game of chess, yes the queen got the last move.
My, how victory looks beautiful on your face, keep my smile ill just waste it.
I'll find another someday, until then ill remember yours....
Note to self, never underestimate the perseverence of the truth,
it will never be unfaithful or lacking.
Wait wasnt that you? So sorry, I'll bite my tongue again. Never mind the blood
on my scarf, it is a winter hue and i wouldnt want to be unfashionable....
I hate that I cant hate, I unlearned that trick long ago. Not even an exception for the one who won the best actress award in the film of my heart. What a stellar performance indeed. Critically acclaimed and critically wounded, what is the difference anymore? Every small town america has turned Hollywood, trading each others heart for an emmy. Just remember when the lights fade down no one sparkles.....
