It seems no matter how you run
You can't outpace the wrong you've done
Your hands are red, your soul is numb
Your heart is frozen stone
No one can hear your silent plea
You hide your face so God won't see
But you're so beautiful to me
And you are not alone

For everyone hides pain and scars
So keep on trucking towards that star
You're precious just the way you are
Don't think that you're not loved
So when life's not the smoothest route
Just hang on tight and ride it out
And know without a moment's doubt
You're lovely and you're loved

Come here and let me hold you tight
Hey, chin up, babe, you'll be alright
I swear you'll make it through the night
The monsters are pretend
Without some pain your heart can't grow
So dry those tears, no need for woe
You brighten up my life and I'm so
Glad that you're my friend
