Misc. poem
The sky is blue, the sun does shine,
But darkness is all I see,
Because my heart, my soul, my child,
Has been taken away from me.

The drunken driver hit his brakes,
    But couldn't avoid thee,
And so, at speeds above the norm,
He took you away from me.

All the promises that I made,
Of things we'd do and see,
Were turned into a bundle of lies,
When you were taken from me.

And so, I return you to the earth,
And never again will I see,
Your hopes, your dreams, in your eyes,
For you'll never again look at me.

Now I must live in this world,
    Where innocents can't run free,
And every parent could lose their child,
Just like you were taken from me.
