True Story about my neighbor, Lady Aryella
One day upon arriving home to my new apartment, I found 6 large boxes setting in the walkway to my front door.  This confused me because I had not ordered anything and the apartment next to mine was vacant. I brought the boxes inside and looked at the name on the mailing label. The name was unfamiliar and I was not able to pronounce it.  I called the management office and told them about the boxes and that’s when they informed me I had a new neighbor moving in the next day. They asked me to keep the packages safe until the new neighbor arrived.

The following afternoon as I returned home from work, I noticed the door to the vacant apartment was ajar.  I put my things away and went next door and knocked.  She was a beautiful Brazilian girl in her early to mid-30s named Aryella. I introduced myself and told her about the boxes I had found outside her door. She came to my apartment and I helped her carry over the boxes.

Over the next several weeks I would come home to boxes of all sizes just sitting on the walkway, exposed to weather and at risk of being stolen, so I would carry them into my place and wait for her to arrive home to hand them over.  I finally asked her what she was ordering, and she started showing me thousands of dollars worth of clothes and furniture and new computers and art supplies for painting.  She was starting a new life she stated, and wanted everything fresh and new.

She was a very friendly person and would stop over on occasion to offer us a taste of a dish she'd made or invite us over to have a glass of wine.  She asked my husband for help one night to help set up her new computer and he went without hesitation. While over at her home that evening we noticed an easel with a partially painted picture of an angel and candles burning everywhere. And then in looking around we saw several paintings of angels all different.

About a month after she moved in she got a roommate, another woman from her office.  She did not come around much after that.

On August 27, 2006, I came home from work as usual.  As I turned the corner to my building my heart stopped, 5 police cars, an ambulance and the coroner's vehicle all sitting in front of my building and police tape blocking the stairs up to my apartment.  I walked up to an officer and asked what happened; he asked if I knew my neighbor Aryella. I told him she was a nice lady but I had not spoken to her lately other then passing by and saying hello.  He told me she had passed away and told me to wait for the coroner to finish up before going to my apartment.

Her roommate was sitting off to the side and crying so I walked over to console her and maybe find out what had happened.

She then told me Aryella had actually shot herself in the heart. And if that’s not bad enough, she had been dead in her bedroom for two days before being discovered.  The roommate was home every night and said she thought Aryella had gone away because she had not seen her in a few days, she had not called in at work or called the estranged boyfriend she had been avoiding. She said she noticed little flickers of light coming from the bedroom, but the door was locked.  After two days of the flickering and the smell of candles burning, she called Aryella’s boyfriend and he came over, broke open the door. That’s when they discovered her in her bed with a bullet in her heart.  I was numb. This just made no sense to me, how could someone do this in a small apartment and no one hear a gun shot or smell death for two days. The police ruled it a suicide and the case was closed.

It took a week for someone to remove the mattress from the apartment and her roommate never came back to live there after that day.  The boyfriend was seen removing the flat screen TV and computer and furniture the following week. And then had people from her office come and take her personal things like her paintings, they were like scavengers, it was so sad.

Later that week the roommate stopped by to get some of her personal things and told me more about Aryella.

As it turns out Aryella was an author, she wrote books about angels and cosmic stuff, she said Aryella claimed to also a portal of sorts to Angels.  They would come and visit her and she would paint them as she saw them. She said they would give her messages, she claimed to have been visited by hundreds of them.

I started investigating and I found her on line.  Now I'm even more confused why someone like her would take her own life and I have been haunted by this since that day.

I still do not believe, especially after reading about her and seeing her web page that she would ever take her own life. This will always be an unsolved crime to me.
