“I'm quitting coffee!” he boldly stated
A brand new me will be created
No longer will I be a slave
to that foul brew the merchants wave
incessantly under my nose
that smell as rancid as … a rose?
I will not fall under this vice
or give in as my body throws
withdrawal symptoms over me
this headache as it slowly grows

I'll walk straight past this starbucks sign
As I've done thrice today
Well, one hello would be benign
to that fine Barista Kay
After all it would be rude
to starve her of attention
simply because I'm quitting
that sweet drink I earlier mentioned

Hello there Kay how goes your day
industriously earning your pay
I just stopped by to see your fine
Well then; That's good; oh what of mine?
Mine's fine as well this day's just.. fine
What? Nothing wrong with me
it's just that smell, that fragrance
which does my senses tease
The usual? Ah... no my girl
maybe just a hot choc...
make it a deca....
or a muff...
Screw it one latte please.
