A short story. Danielle was a new girl in school and she tries to fit in the school.
A New Life In A New School

Today was a wonderful morning. I cycled to school by using my favourite purplish bicycle. I can't wait to get to know some new friends eventhough I miss my old friends Katrina and Klairyssa. I wished that I would not be bullied and get to concentrate in my studies as I will have my major exams this year. This school was the coolest school I've ever met. They have internet cafes, basketball court, gym, tennis court, badminton court and also squash court. Pretty impressive huh.

As I reached my class, I heard my classmates whom I have not known even a single one where chattering among themselves. I went to an empty seat which there was nobody sitting on it. I did not realize that I sat beside the most popular guy in school. Anyway, I did not know who he was when suddenly a girl which was one of my classmates stood there glaring at me with her fierce look.

"Excuse me, new girl. Please stay away from my guy." She shouted. "Erm...who is your guy?" I asked.

"Don't you know that you are sitting beside the most popular guy in school?"

"Sorry, that's why I'm new here."

"My name is Jessica. What's yours??"

"I'm Danielle."

"Now would you please move aside."

"Sure."

I took up my bag and grab another empty seat. As I was about to grab another seat, the guy grabbed my bad and put it back on the chair. Jessica was shocked with her mouth hung open. I looked at the guy and he was looking at Jessica like a lion wants to eat a deer.

"Why are you letting her sit beside you, Will?" Jessica asked him, with her watery eyes and looked as if she wanted to cry.

"Jess, will you cut out the act? I don't like girls act out their attitude. Will you just be yourself?" William said, getting tired of Jessica's attitude.

"William, I don't think that she is acting out. Her attitude is really herself. She is born in a rich family that's why. I think I should let her sit here with you because I'm not suitable to be with the rich people. I'm just a plain and a total loser to all of you." I said, grabbing my bag again to go to another seat.

William grabbed my bag again and put it down to the chair. What's with him? My heart was wondering why did he do that to his girlfriend.

"Will....she had already said that she will not be sitting here and she said that she is not suitable with us." Jessica said, touching William's arm gently.

"Don't touch me! I want her to sit with me and I mean it." William said, pushing Jessica's hand away.

"Why are you treating me this way, Will?" Jessica asked, tears stung to her eyes.

"William, I say let Jessica sit with you. Please, I preferred to sit other place but not with you and your gang." I said as I grabbed my bag again and hang it on my shoulder. Jessica was looking at me fiercely. All of sudden a huge heavy slap got onto my cheek. I looked up and it was Jessica who slapped me and I seriously don't really understand why is she slapping me.

"Here is a slap for you, good for nothing girl or I should call you bitch." Jessica said, laughing cunningly.

My cheeks are red and painful. William was so angry and called her to get away from me. Jessica was still very angry with me and also a bit jealous of me. I don't understand why William is treating her this way. Why is he so stubborn? If I had sit another empty seat none of this will happen. I thought in my heart. I bet that Jessica is not a girl like that and I really think that Jessica likes William way a lot that's why. I just don't want to be in the middle of their relationship. Hey, what am I thinking about? This is stupid. I'm thinking William likes me? No way, it's impossible for a rich guy like him to like me.

After class Jessica and her gang suddenly appeared in front of me, blocking my way to get back home.

"Well, well, well, good for nothing girl, where are you going?" Jessica asked me, while twirling her doll hair with her pointer.

"I'm going back home. Where else I'm going to go?" I answered.

"I don't know maybe going for a date with my boyfriend. Boyfriend stealer!"

"A date? A Date? Are you kidding me? Name me of one guy will ask me out for a date? "

"Well, I can tell you that, you should stay away from my boy and don't even talk to him too understand?"

"So...what if I talk to him? I treat him as a friend and talk normally."

Jessica was really angry and ordered her girls to punch me and slap me. I was beaten by all of them. Sometimes, I wish that my prince will come and save me.

William came out from his class and saw the girls punching me. He dashed towards us and grabbed me. He stopped the girls from beating me.

"Jess! Do you have anything beneficial to do than hurting people. I want to tell you that you are not my type of girl I like. I like a girl which is kind, good in heart and a caring person. You are totally out of my list." William shouted at her.

"I can't believe that I lose to this horrible bitch." Jessica said, glaring at me. "You'll wait and see good for nothing girl. Your life will be miserable when you messed with the wrong person." She added walking away with her gang.

"Are you alright, Danielle?" William asked, looking worried.

"I'm alright, thanks for helping me." I said, smiling at him.

"Your welcome. I think you need some help."

"I don't think I need. Thanks! I can stand up by myself."

I stood up but then I stumbled before I could fall William grabbed my waist to stop me from falling. "See I told you , you can't." he said, smiling. Urghhh...why is he so cute? I thought in my heart.

"Alright! Alright! You win."

William carried me up bridal style and took me home. I really admired him actually. He's not a person that looks down on poor people like me.
