My first attempt at poetry- language and sound.

As the dark night conceals the light,
We confess and give into the darkness.
We hear the voices of our imagination;
We disembark and leave our mark for resurrection.
We take caution as evil approaches,
As eternal slumber overcomes us,
And we wish the happiness of light will end our plight,
And hide our loneliness.
Hark, the morning lark praises us with song,
And the shadows, in distress, fade to nothing.
Bright hope, endless, timeless in existence,
Comes to right the black nights’ action,
Sweeping the world with light.
