A poem about those who cannot bare reality and seek constant solace in dreams...
Dizzy daydreams

Dizzy daydreams

My anticipated slumbers

My one true world from under the covers

Seem to call to me all day long

A woman’s gently whispered song

Sometimes I feel as though I’m trapped

I fallen into a tiny gap

Stuck forever until I sleep

Waking up and taking that leap

Is just a burning hell beneath my feet

If everything would just slow down

I could lay upon the ground

And close my eyes

And I might see those butterflies

That gently creep

Upon my cheek

But only in my dizziest daydreams

Those soft intoxicating daydreams

As I sleep.
