Mary, soldier, war
Mary jerks awake up at the sound of the sudden firing of guns. She jumps to her feet pulling on her top coat and shoes as she runs out of her door she grabs her rifle and ammunition she loads the gun and shoves the door open to see the sight of her comrades falling. The major shouts “Mary don’t just stand there, fight now” he manages to avoid a bullet in time and pulls his rife up shooting his attacker. Mary nods her head once before pulling up her rifle and taking aim she shoots with perfect aim and the enemy falls down. Another enemy sneaks up behind Mary and grabs her from behind. Mary pulls out her knife and plants it in his side and he drops Mary. Mary jumps to her feet her fist connecting with the guys head and knocking him out. Mary jumps out of the way avoiding an incoming enemy soldier and she points her gun at him and smiles at him.

The fighting eased down a little and Mary looked around she saw both sides fallen soldiers the ground covered with blood, and disowned weapons. The sky was clouded with smoke and the smell of sulfur and blood was in the air. Mary closes her eyes and shakes her head “If only others people knew how too just give up and learn how to have peace”. Mary opens her eyes as she hears the sound of the trumpet playing and she watches the enemies leave after ward she heads to her tent lays back down not wanting to sleep but her eyes drop and she falls into deep sleep again.

Mary’s dream came back to one she had over and over again. Mary was walking through the woods her gun held at ready, but the woods were oddly quiet. Mary nears a house and she drops low in a crouch so she can’t be seen. Mary slips into the house and nears the living room and again she gets the creeps the quiet house was starting to get on her nerves, but as she climbs the stair an eerie feeling comes down on her. Mary looks back down at the bottom of the stairs and gets startled. Her eyes widen as she stares at the puddle of blood and the clawed bloody foot prints Mary closes her eyes and when she opens them the foot prints and such are gone but she feels as though something is watching her. Mary continues to climb the stairs and hears a noise again she pulls her gun up ready to kill the person and as she get to the door where the noise is at the kicks the door open and the thing turns and looks at her. Mary opens her mouth and screams. Mary jerks awake, breathing hard.

Mary glances outside of her tent the sun starting to rise. Mary grumbles” I’m tired of this dream what does it mean.” Mary sits her and looks at her lap she yawns and touches her side. Mary goes to lie down and as soon as she does one of her comrades run to her tent saying “Corporal Mary!” Mary looks up irritated and says “what do you want.” The person flinches and says “something is utterly wrong everything is quiet but a noise and its coming from a house in the woods we were scouting and we heard it.” Mary groans under her breath and stands up she picks up her weapon and says “lead the way now.”

The soldier begins to walk away and is smiling evilly when Mary says” I have never seen you around here when did you get here?” The soldier closed his eyes then thought of a good day and he says “Yesterday I was supposed to be here a week ago but I got sick and had to wait till yesterday, my family didn’t want me to leave either’’ he says hoping she wouldn’t be so nosey. Mary stares at him not trusting him she hides her knife up in her sleeve and keeps an eye on him. “What is your name” Mary asks him quietly remembering all the names of her soldiers in her squad and “Whose squad are you supposed to be in?” The soldier glances back at her and says” Dean and I’m in you squad don’t you remember?” Mary shouts “There is not dean in my squad who are you and what do you want?”
