reaches for the pen. There is an equation on the board at
the front of the room that the boy is trying to solve. He
makes a few errors in solving and RIPS OUT the page to start
over. He eventually solves the problem to get a room number.
On the board is written:
(whispering, but not seen)

GIRL
Find me.

INT. 2ND CLASSROOM - FLASHBACK

The classroom is filled with students and Girl is in the
back looking straight at Boy. No one else looks at her or
talks to her. She places a sticky note on the underside of
the desk.

CROSSFADE BACK TO:

INT. 2ND CLASSROOM - DAY

The door is open and Boy goes into classroom and sits at the
desk Girl was in. He takes out the note, reads it and puts
it back. He then walks out of the room.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Boy makes his way through the halls again. The note had a
library book and page number. He finds the book in the
library, takes it off the shelf, and opens it to find a
blank sheet of music and a picture which on the back is
written:
(whispering, but not seen)

GIRL
I'm here.

CROSSFADE TO:

INT. PIANO ROOM - FLASHBACK

Girl and Boy are at the piano playing a duet.

GIRL
I wrote this for you, you know. I
won't ever teach you the right hand
though.

BOY
(tilts his head, confused)

GIRL
So you never have to play alone.

VIDEO FREEZES AND PICTURE LOWERS TO:

INT PIANO ROOM - DAY

Boy walks into the empty room and sits in front of the
piano. He puts the blank sheet music in front of him and
starts to play his left hand part. As he's playing, the Girl
reaches forward and begins to play the right hand part. The
boy closes his eyes and when he opens them, he realizes he
is playing both parts by himself. He then uses the pen he
still has with him to write out the notes of the right hand
part. the four notes are D-D-E-A repeated with changed in
octaves. He rearranges the letters to spell

BOY
(written)
Dead.

Rewind and pause on the scenes involving the Girl and show
her fading from each image. In between occurrences, show the
Boy running through the hall to the exit. When he gets
there, the girl is in the doorway. The white light from
outside fills the shot and she fades away again.
