A poetic creation from a lowly creator
The spaceship landed with a heavy thud, I knew our day had come upon us, beings not of light but of the dark appeared unto the thick fog spreading their message to the weak of will and on to the latter. This message was not of likeness as we soon came to know, some would fear, some would hate, the bright taint of life and health soon begun to wither. Spreading like a disease through all forms of life it devoured those who would dare appose, some fought, others hid, they knew not it was not the question of "if" but of "when". The ones of old that were the last knew it was time for a new age. Life fluttered like the last glimpses of light through the far horizon, if only we knew. Gears of civilization soon became to rust, drawing nearer inevitability. "Waste life not" the wiser would speak, lasting few moments may be all we have. Nothing but few grains of sand in the vial to some... to others... eternity...
