"He heard the spine chilling noise of shattered glass and a struggling voice."
He set the toothbrush in a cup beside the sink and turned off the water. He heard the spine chilling noise of shattered glass and a struggling voice. He immediately thought burglar. His heart raced and he ran to his room to grab a baseball bat for his own protection. He ventured into the shadows of the deserted kitchen. He heard footsteps and his fear grew stronger. He wasn’t think straight and the normally short hallway became miles of never ending dread. He finally reached the ending of his journey to the kitchen, and then he noticed something that made him panic, the refrigerator’s light was on. He pierced the kitchen screaming with an intimidating war cry, with intent on ambushing the intruder and catching the perpetrator by surprise. Unexpectedly he slipped on spilt water and broken glass, falling down and applying strong pressure on his thumb. He realized there was no intruders, no burglars, just his clumsy little brother.
