A darker view on all those horror movies.

What starts out to be
A normal evening
Slowly becomes
A reality
A nightmare
In which you can’t
Wake up

The phone rings
You answer
Unknowingly
You hear
Screams
And sounds
You know you’ll
NEVER
Forget

You’re alone
And the electricity
Goes out
The sun sets
Leaving you in complete
Darkness

You hear noises
Sounds
You’re not sure
If it’s the
Killer

Is he close
Could he be just around
The corner
Every noise you hear
Makes your hair
Stand in
Fear

You arm yourself
A knife
Though you ask what use is it now
Your friends
Are gone
And you know
You’re next on his
List

The darkness
Scares you
Makes you want to
Scream
But you don’t
Because if you do
You know
He’ll know
He’ll find you

A shutter
A creak
You jump at every little
Noise
Wondering if it’s
The killer

Even though
The lights are out
The phone
Rings
You know not to answer
You know that it’s him
You know you’re doomed

What hope is there now
You’re alone
And the silence
Drives you to the brink of
Insanity

You want to
Cry
Beg
Plead
With the killer
You don’t want to
Die

You feel steel against your
Throat
It’s too late to scream now
He’s here
It’s all over

Your eyes open wide with
Surprise
You didn’t expect this
No
Not yet
You see him smile
A deadly
Grin

Then you feel the
Blade
Slowly
S
L
I
D
E

It’s over
All over
Just
Over

He drops you
And you fall
Onto the floor
The cold
Hard
Floor

You can’t
Scream
Call for help
It’s over

You feel the
Life slowly drains
Out
Of you
As the blood
Continuously flows
On
And
On
Never STOPPING
Never slowing

You wish that it wouldn’t
End
No,
Not like this
But it’s
Too late

You want to
Sleep now
To forget this all happened
Life is sliding
A
W
A
Y
From you
And you can’t
Stop it
Catch it

You close your eyes
And want to sleep
And never
Ever
Wake up

This is all a bad dream
You think to yourself
But no
It’s not
A dream
You’re covered in your own
Blood
It’s a horror movie

You’re not
Comprehending
Understanding
Knowing
Thinking
Breathing

By now you stop
Struggling
Fighting
Living

What now
Oh heroine
What can you do
If you’re
Gone
