A military man is used to battle, a rapid fire life.
The felled and forgotten

A heartbeat is but an echo
Footsteps to a soldiers march
A scream is but a calling,
Seeking a response from the dark

Swinging navy doors muffle reality,
The world around is bland.
Harsh. Simple
Easy to understand.

A mundane life fed by hollow tubes,
A creator that once had a place.
Thrown to the ground without mercy,
A well-aged look upon his face.

Blossoming flowers soon wilted,
Autumns battle plan.
The enduring life and loss,
Of a once saluted man.
