Sometimes a superhero...
It was raining and the school was silent because of summer break.
Never the less, I was standing in the school yard.
They had called me out to settle this, and I would stand my ground, as I had done so many times before, and prevailed.

I held a wooden stick, firmly planted in my hand, awaiting their approach.
Five seconds to 12, at least according to my watch (that I always kept on my right arm), they appeared.
A craft, not much bigger than a tin can, landed in front of me and a small girl stepped out of it.
She looked up at me (and I obviously looked down at her) speaking:

“Now, will you surrender, before we kill any more of your kind? You are down to 4 billion. ”
I had anticipated this and replied, “Go to HELL!”

Earth didn’t make it.
