This is based on a dream I had a long time ago that I still remember to this day.
Nearly every house you come across has a hidden portal, a hole, if you like, imbedded in the structure. This can be very easy to miss, for it could look like a drain hole, or an imperfection in a brick, as small as to fit a finger, or as big as a fist. Some say that this is a portal to another dimension, and others, more boldly, state that some people are not so much kidnapped, or have run away, but have been lost forever in the other world.

It starts innocently enough: You're walking around the back yard, or past another house, and feel a tug, so deep in your being, so overwhelming, that you feel as if you've been taken over by an invisible force. You're no longer in control of your body, and all you can see is the whole world getting bigger and bigger. The truth is, you are getting smaller and smaller, until all that's left of you is a ball of light, an orb, floating in the air. What is happening is that you have physically collapsed and are on the point of death.

You find yourself being sucked into the portal, slowly but surely, until there is nothing but darkness. After a while all these disembodied heads keep appearing, both male and female, young and old, around you. You may or may not recognise them. One of them speaks to you, though you see no mouths move, so there is no way to tell who:

"You have a choice: You may stay here, away from physical restrictions, harm, poverty, war, need or desires. Your life has been hard, but you may know only peace. Your family and friends will mourn you with proper respect, you will be free. Or you may return to the life you knew, with perhaps a renewed respect for yourself, your people and the planet. You can make your choice, now or later, but be aware, the longer you wait the more the choice will be taken away as your body deteriorates and loses life. Make your choice."

Ah the complexity of free will and personal choice. How do I know all this? I myself was pulled into this portal at my own home. I didn't want to stay there, I wanted out. I didn't really believe I was free though, so when I went inside I called to my mother who confirmed that I was, indeed, alive and well.

What would you decide when your time has come?
