Pray for Ferguson.
I was once proud of my city.
I was once free.
I would walk through the streets
Without fear of any creeps.

Suddenly, I hear of bloodshed.
There was a black man dead
At the hands of a white man.
That's where the danger began.

Glass is breaking!
Anger is quaking!
Fire is burning!
People are turning,

Turning into monsters.

People are screaming!
Nightmares are dreaming!
Tears are shedding!
Vandals are shredding,

Shredding the businesses I know.

Then the verdict came.
The white cop was not to blame.
The anger raged
And the fire blazed.

My city is now Pompeii.
I am afraid to stay.
My home is burning.
Burning!

Will the wrathful flame continue to swell?
Only God will tell.
