trick or treating
On Halloween night when I was out
there were strange beings all about.
Ghosts flew around me as I walked,
skeletons rattled but nobody talked

Monsters of green with one big eye,
werewolves and devils were strolling by.
They all had bags , stuffed with sweets.
They'd been saying their trick- or- treats

I'm a normal and handsome fellow
with three eyes and whites that are yellow.
I wasn't afraid, I have the power.
My magic wand can make you cower.

So my walk in the night wasn't scary,
just strange looking folks; some were hairy.
When I was alarmed on this dark night
I took off my hat, showed my headlight.

I will tell you that my nose is long,
at least a foot and a half, is that wrong?
Look into my mouth there's green stuff.
My tongue is quite sharp and very tough.

I went home to a cave by a ditch.
Ate candy I had swiped from a witch.
For who would stop me? I thought out loud.
One of the monsters in the weird crowd?

So you monsters out there tonight,
Happy Halloween; may you get a fright.
Share that candy with the fellow
with the long tongue and eyes of yellow!
