Going to visit a grandchild in a helicopter
To A Grandchild

If I had a helicopter.
Know what I would do?
Of course, of course!
I would come to see you.

I’d zoom above billowy clouds,
And through the blue sky.
I’d fly above the treetops,
Ever so high.

I’d wave to the geese
As I passed them by,
With a song on my lips,
In my heart a happy sigh.

I’d be thinking of you,
All along the way,
And when you saw me,
What would you say?

Would you climb in my helicopter,
Bringing along your trusty sword?
Would you call for your dog?
And shout, “All aboard”?
