Some say it’s hell trying to find their piece of heaven on earth. They will spend their lives searching for it, hoping for it and in the end, they realize they are nothing more than dust and bones. Others have what they see as heaven dropped in their laps; only to piss it away. Most men and women are never ready to have something good come into their lives, most wake up each and every day, to the same damn shit they fell asleep to. So fate, cruel bitch that she is, just drops in with something special and sends the person’s life into a tailspin. Some adjust to the pressures of success, without turning into assholes, maybe one in a million succeed, but the majority... They become addicted to that dose of heaven on earth, and when that power goes to their head, they lose themselves. Out of these, there are a few that have friends, family, or just plain frenemies that will help slow their plummet to Earth. That is what happens with Leon Marsond. Oh, don’t get excited into believing this is a love story, Leon’s love is money, and even more than that he loves power and control, but his true love is himself. Leon Marsond is the Vampire Marshal of his corner of the world, his piece of heaven is in the form of a small empire. Funny thing is, he didn’t even see it as heaven. He saw it as the outcome of hard work and sweat, but of course not his sweat or his hard work. But give credit where credit is due; he used the Vampire reveal to his advantage. No, he cannot be faulted for that; but you will see that Mr. Marsond cares not for anyone or anything outside his little empire. For that he can be blamed, however I do not believe it will happen. Out of all the vampires in Mississippi, Marshal Leon Marsond was especially cruel when it came to dealing with disrespect, or those he saw as beneath him. Having been a Legatus or in a more common term, General in the Roman army before his turning, his current demeanor makes perfect sense. I, myself, am a puma; not just three nights the moon is full as most folklore tells us. However, I do have to turn at those times whether convenient or not, and let me tell you, there are times it is a pain in the…well, you get my meaning. Were pumas are similar to werewolves just not so well known. My name is Samantha Murry, niece of the pack-leader Thomas Murry. We have a very close-knit group that live in a small community outside Knight, Mississippi called Heartsville. We keep to ourselves, and we like it that way. I have issues with showing any vampire respect especially the Marshal. As I have said to others, he is the leader of the dead NOT me. |
