From the dawn of history, the Hero's Guild stood in service of the kingdom and its people, aiding them in times of need, and protecting the land from any threat it may have faced. Countless men and women from every race rose to fame and glory through the ranks of the guild, each of them a paragon of heroism in their own way.

But that was in days long since past. In the days before the Great Plague, and the rise of the Necrolord. Now, the guild is but a distant memory, if anyone even knows it ever existed. Its halls have all been reduced to rubble and ash, and the heroes themselves are all but extinct.

You are but a denizen of this corrupted land, just trying to survive day to day without drawing attention to yourself. Little do you realize, that's about to change. You will soon discover your heritage as a descendant of the heroes of old, and the power that courses through your blood. Will you rise to save this blighted world from the grasp of evil? Or perhaps fall to darkness, and maybe take the Necrolord's throne for yourself? Maybe something else entirely?

Your fate, and that of this world and its people, rest in your hands.
