SHOULD I KEEP THIS OR SHOULD I DELETE IT?

Sarah watched them play happily together. She was sick of this, tired of the way they were hugging and enjoying each other. “Hey Sarah! Come play catch with us!” called out Tiffany.

“No. I’m feeling sort of exhausted right now,” Sarah called back.

Tiffany just shrugged and went back to him. Him, he was supposed to be hers. Matthew Yang was Sarah’s boyfriend. She had thought they would be together forever. They were great together. Yet after she introduced him to Tiffany, her best friend, he changed. He started being distant and he stopped calling her. Finally one day he approached her and said he wanted to break up. Sarah crushed, agreed. She agreed to the break up and that filled her with raging anger wen she found out that he was going out with Tiffany. She had watched them together. Then one day Tiffany approached and they talked. Sarah had said that it was okay, but inside she knew she would never forgive Tiffany. They became friends again. Sarah was nice to them, but inside she was ready to burst. She would never forgive them for their betrayal.

“Hey! You guys I’m going to go to the rest room,” she suddenly called out to them, pulling herself out off her thoughts. Tiffany called out something back, but she didn’t hear her, she was already halfway toward the rest room. She spotted a woman in black. The woman was different from everyone else. There was this sensation surrounding her, Curious, Sarah approached her. The lady saw her and beckoned her forward. “Ah... you are Sarah.”

“H-how did you know my name?” asked Sarah shocked and frightened.

“I know everything about you and I can help you,” said the lady

“What are you talking about?” asked Sarah.

Then the lady started talking. By the time she was finished Sarah had paled. How did this lady know so much about herself when she didn’t even know it? Sarah grew scared and started to walk away. The lady called to her, “ You can’t run away from your heart girl! I will meet you again.”

Sarah quickly walked towards Matthew and Tiffany. She stopped to tell them she had to go. They were reluctant to let her go, but only after she agreed to another outing. After everything was settled Sarah went towards the bus stop. Then suddenly changing her mind she walked towards an abandoned building. Something was calling her there and she went towards the calling. Instincts to her where to go.

Finally she reached a door. Hesitantly she forced herself to open the door. There was something on the other side and she knew that if she went there was no turning back. Sarah walked into the room and saw the lady.

“So, you have arrived at last,” said the lady.

“Who are you? Why did I come here?” Sarah asked.

The lady just pointed to a picture. Sarah gasped when she saw it and took a step back. It was a picture of the three of them.

“You know what you want,” the lady said, “I will give it to you if in exchange you give me something.”

“What do you want?”

“You will find out when the time comes.”

Sarah thought about it. Then she nodded her head, agreeing to the deal. She wanted Matthew back. The lady just smiled, then said, “Go home.”

Sarah left. She didn’t know what, but something was pushing her out of the room and toward home. She went home and life continued on.

Two weeks later, on their next trip, Sarah found that they were going to go exploring. They were at the beach looking for shells. Sarah saw something shiny by the trees. She ran to check it out, but Tiffany had seen it too and was on her way towards the shiny object. Tiffany got there first and reached down to pick it up. Just then the lady came out from the trees and stabbed Tiffany. Tiffany didn’t know what hit her. She fell toward the ground and Sarah panicked. “What did you do?”

“I did what you wanted all along. You wanted her out of the picture,” the lady said in a low dark whisper.

Sarah terrified now said, “No, I didn’t...”

“Don’t lie to yourself. That is what you wanted and now you have it. Now I will get what
I want,” the lady interrupted her and raised her hand into the air.

“What do you...” Sarah fell down to the ground.

“What I wanted all along dear, was your life,” the lady answered the lifeless body with a smile on her face.

Inside the abandoned building, the picture of the three of them had changed. Instead of all three of them, there was only one person left in the picture. Matthew Young standing by himself smiling.
