IN THE REALM OF DREAMS

Anything is possible
in the realm of dreams;
They are all too real
or so it seems -

I walk again with family
long since gone, and sit
at a long table, talking
for just a little bit,

Then turn away from them,
and start to fly
high above the clouds
in a clear blue sky;

I find myself searching
through forest and maze;
for a beloved old face
upon which to gaze.

My mother stands alone
by a crystal fountain,
high above me on
a distant mountain.

I reach for her but
she is gone once more;
The road I travel
is to her door.

She beckons me in
with a welcoming smile
and the love I knew
is back with me awhile.

I have no need
to feel all alone,
for in my dreams
I can go back home.

Then the brightest light
I have ever seen
appears before me
within my dream.

And a gentle voice
tells me all is fine;
and I believe that home
in Heaven is mine.
