A letter written by a son to a father after his demise.
Dear Father

Dear Father,
This poem is for you
Now that you are gone
My life will start anew

Seeing as you're dead
Makes this harder to explain
But having you around
Was driving me insane

Dear father,
I loved you oh so much
I couldn't stand seeing mom
Hobbling in a crutch

Pain that you have caused
Over the past years
Has finally come around
Within these righteous tears

The time that I feared you
When I did something bad
I'm sorry that I made you
So incredibly mad

You beat me when I was wrong
that, I saw as fair
But when you hit my mom
I truly began to care

I really loved you dad
I only wanted best
That's why it's sad to say
I hope you lay in rest

Dear Father,
I'm sorry for what I've done
You never would've thought
That I had found your gun

I'm sorry that I killed you
In my fit of rage
But now my dear sweet mother
Will live to die of age.
