THE LIE

Her love a dream kept silent;
a blemish on her
soul
Yet love had
chased all dignity,
just to be loved was her goal.

His
hands carressed her lovingly
throughout the the dark of
night,
A
tainted image of contentment
Her heart filled with delight.

The lie she lived was all in vain,
for a
mistress cannot win;
For comes the dawn the man is gone
back to his own world again.
