Our Mother, the very center of our life's puzzle.
I have said one hundred times and more
I cannot imagine my life without you in it for
The need to share those special moments when
It brings more pleasure to share with my friend

I call so many times just to hear
The joy it brings or sometimes a tear
When I relate to her those things I do or see
Which makes them much more meaningful to me

This poem I write to my mother this day
For seventy years as some will say
She has lived with many ups and downs
It is time to live without the frowns

Her frustrating times have been hard to bear
Let us rejoice in these times we now share
Our love for each other will carry us thru
The good times and bad if we remain true

Our hearts will tell us we can smile and cheer
As we are all still together, close and near
Forever bound by our mother dear

I pray to our mother and father above
To let these years be full of love
From those you have raised and taught
to be considerate, sensitive not fraught

with anger, greed, hatred nor envy
For we have you as an example you see
To be the best that we can be

Thank you my mother, my angel, my friend
For all these years and more I will depend
on you to guide me on the roads I travel
To remain true until the judgment gavel

Tells me this lifetime is over and done
So go on to the next you’ve already won
Proud of myself as I am today
Thanks to mom who made me this way

I love you too much always and forever!
