A lot of my poetry is about love and heartache. I guess it is my way of letting go.
The quiet desolation of my brokenhearted soul,
Whimpers along the black sands of the sea.
Midnight peers in, bringing a ghost from my past.
Engulfed in a love that was never meant to last.

Twisting and turning in the desolation of my mind.
Drowning in a fury, I am running out of time.
The cold gray waters are sweeping me further in,
Why didn’t someone tell me, loving you would be a sin?

Struggling to break free from the desolation of my dreams.
Lying breathless and beaten, your memory still haunting me.
Defenseless to love. Engaged in this saddened state.
Release me from this hurt. Do not let this be my fate!
