A poem written during a very dark time.
Darkness consumes me. It is
All around me, in me, it is me. I am
Running though I cannot escape. It is
Killing me slowly and I know that
No cure exists for the disease I have.
Everyone avoids me, as if they can sense the
Self-hatred I possess, the poison I embrace.
Silently the darkness consumes me.
