A peom I wrote about the inner beauty of a person
Beauty veiled by shades of doubt,
It tries and tries, but can't get out.
Encased in fear, she cannot see
That she already is what she strives to be.
All she needs is to just let go,
But she hides the things she wants to show.
Afraid to feel, afraid to trust,
Because they claim to love, but only lust.
Her heart's been broken in times before,
Now she keeps it behind an iron door.
She hides her heart to stop the pain
And only cries when it starts to rain.
