I am retired. All my writing has been academic or coursework. But I would like to try my hand at fiction This seems like a promising community for me to gain and try out skills. I joined in 2011 but stayed inactive except for a few reviews. Hopefully, I will now enter some contests and submit materials. Bear in mind that in this area, I am an absolute novice.
