Summary of this Book...
An unexplained fire turns the parsonage of the Charlevois family into rubble while the family attends a retreat in a distant town. Whey they return and discover that all their worldly possessions are gone; they turn to their religion and the help of the congregation to meet the challenges which lie ahead.
Nathan, the sixteen-year-old son of the Reverend Charlevois, learns that a recently deceased member of that congregation, who was a close friend of his father, has bequeathed his Townhouse to the Charlevois family. But, with the joy of such a gift, Nathan begins to feel the presence of a different kind of spirit after they have moved into their new home. Strange noises and movements coupled with unusual events in the three-story townhouse begin to weave a mysterious web of intrigue around Nathan and his family.
With the help of his friend Bobby Barnes, Nathan explores the many halls and rooms of the house searching for answers to explain the unexplainable. And, as he attempts to unravel the mystery, he discovers the realm of the benefactor’s granddaughter, who has been described as departed, then falls in love with her image. How could such a beautiful girl just disappear? What was causing their new home to repel the presence of the Charlevois family? How could Nathan convince his best friend to believe that this special girl could still be alive?
The answers are in the story, Melanie Ann
