Summary of this Book...
This is a motivational handbook, written years ago about a seagull, called Johnathan Livingstone Seagull. He is cast out from his flock, because he refuses to hunt for food like all the other seagulls. Instead he strives to improve his flying, and master techniques to better himself.
Finding himself taken to another world entirely he soon learns that he can do anything he puts his mind to. Prompted to return to his flock, Jonathan soon learns he is not alone in his struggle, and that his own knowledge can be put to good use.
This type of Book is good for...
I think everyone should read this book. It's a simple read, with obvious messages that can be applied to any situation.
I especially liked...
The clear message and style of writing. It was obvious this was not just about a seagull...but could be applied to any situation, or any life choice.
I didn't like...
The book had a lot of pictures scattered throughout, which I thought were distracting.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Pass it on...these are simple life messages that everyone should know.
This Book made me feel...
Uplifted...that with a little hard work I could achieve anything I put my mind too..including opportunities I didn't even know existed yet.
The author of this Book...
Very cleverly used a simple, yet creative story to get his message across.
I recommend this Book because...
It's something I will read over and over again...to reinforce the message.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you prefer fiction to inner strength and motivational self help books then give it a miss. Although it's written as fiction, it's clearly not.
Further Comments...
You can read this book in under an hour...so what do you have to lose? You never know, you might learn something about yourself, or find the motivation to go out and do something you never thought you could.
