Summary of this DVD...
Coach Carter is a movie based on real life. It begins with the "signing on" of Coach Carter to begin working with the Richmond basketball team. What he finds there is disappointing: teens who disrespect themselves and others. Carter begins to work with them, hoping to turn them into champions on and off the court.
This type of DVD is good for...
This DVD is good for fans of sports and for those who want a movie to teach us something. There are quite a few moral lessons to be taught in this intriguing and action filled film.
I especially liked...
I especially liked how the moral issues were brought up... and how this movie says so many things which I wish I could teach others. The basketball scenes are amazing as well, but I found the moral part of the movie to be the most interesting.
I didn't like...
There were a few too many basketball scenes, where as more of the focus should have been on the lives of the boys, Carter, and the moral lessons. The basketball scenes would have been a little better if most didn't have an obvious outcome.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
I wanted to watch something similar. It also made me want to read a book which has the same moral lessons. (Did I mention I also wanted to cry? I'm a crybaby... I know. *Laugh*)
This DVD made me feel...
This DVD made me feel happy... overjoyed in fact. That there is a movie which teaches such important values and moral lessons... well, it brightened my entire week. You don't see too many movies like this.
The cast of this DVD...
The cast was excellent and believable. They were all their own individual and I had no trouble picking them out of a crowd.
I recommend this DVD because...
I recommend this DVD mainly because of the moral lessons, but also because it is generally just an enjoyable film. I actually wish it would have been longer.
