Summary of this Book...
Below is the product description from Amazon.com. This is also happens to be the tease on the back cover of the book.
I am not giving out a summary. I don't wish to spoil the book for anyone.

"Something is Murdering my men."
Thus reads the message received from a Nazi commander stationed in a small castle high in the remote Transylvanian Alps. And when an elite SS extermination squad is dispatched to solve the problem, the men find a something that's both powerful and terrifying. Invisible and silent, the enemy selects one victim per night, leaving the bloodless and mutilated corpses behind to terrify its future victims. Panicked, the Nazis bring in a local expert on folklore--who just happens to be Jewish--to shed some light on the mysterious happenings. And unbeknownst to anyone, there is another visitor on his way--a man who awoke from a nightmare and immediately set out to meet his destiny.

The battle has begun: On one side, the ultimate evil created by man, and on the other...the unthinkable, unstoppable, unknowing terror that man has inevitably awakened.
This type of Book is good for...
A good read for anyone who likes suspense and horror. The Keep combines aspects of Vampire lore and World War two. It tells of an ancient story between good and evil.
I especially liked...
I like the suspense of this novel. I had first read this book when it was first published in the early 1980s. I spent every waking moment reading the pages of this novel as the mystery's of the Keep and its unholy tenant were slowly revealed. This is a superb read for anyone who likes horror and suspense novels. For you writing.com members who write horror upon this site please pick up a copy of this book. You will not be disappointed.
I didn't like...
The fact that they made a very bad move from a very good book. I do not recommend that you get the cinematic incarnation of this story. The movie does not do the book justice. Author F. Paul Wilson was not involved in the movie adaptation. If he had been the movie version of The Keep would have been remembered with the same fondness that one holds for Stephen King's The Shining.
This Book made me feel...
Frightened. The suspense held me in every page. I also found myself being torn between feeling sorry for the Nazis and cheering the entity that was ripping apart members of the elite SS.
The author of this Book...
The easiest thing that I could tell you to do is google the name F. Paul Wilson and peruse his library.
I recommend this Book because...
Simply put, it is an enjoyable read.
