These are stories by a very famous Vet/Writer from England. A friend loaned this book to me.

all of it. It was interesting to read of a time when Vets actually made house calls for dogs. Not too much of that these days.

like I would like to read more about the breed of dog I have, which is the Bassett Hound. There were beagles and hound mixes but alas, no bassetts.

I found this to be a very interesting and heartwarming collection of stories about the dogs Mr. Herriot treated and had great affection for over the years. I had the old version of the book that was published in the U.K. in 1986.
