Summary of this Book...
I think this book might be summed up as one that was written by a very "special" woman. One who chanced everything for a chance to begin writing as a career. Some of us know how that can be. But with this woman the destiny that God held for her was in the hands of a wonderful family to this day. I think that she could have been "hurt" as they say and cried out into the darkness and not heard anything. But God answered her and it became as the title implies,"It's not impossible". One of my favorite all time poets and a good acquaintance whom I have done reviews for had a harrowing escape from Germany during WWII, when she was little. She wrote from experience. She was none too sly from the ways of the world. I think that Sherri L. loves to give us her story, she is so personal and up-front with us in this book. She is so precious, really, and has come from behind to "win" with the racehorse.
This type of Book is good for...
I think people of all kinds would love this book. It is an excellent portrait of a writer who takes life with a grain of salt, has power and energy to have a happy ending with her life and wishes good things for others. That is priceless.
I especially liked...
Her struggle was quite interesting to me. With knowing Sherri L. from writing.com, I noted that there could be very few that would beat Sherri at writing since I found two of her books unbeatable that I had bought and reviewed here. This particular memoir gives us reason to applaud her for herself, for what she really is, what she is deep down. And that is a gifted gifted girl.
I didn't like...
I have not one complaint. Even the length of it is a relief. A shorter book does not mean a less comprehendable one.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Tell Sherri L. Gibson thank you.
This Book made me feel...
I felt informed, I felt elated at knowing her from a distance, and I felt as though the woman is perhaps, incorrigable. She makes no mistakes.
The author of this Book...
She is one of my true sisters here at writing.com. I commend her for not giving up, and charging ahead.
I recommend this Book because...
It can be very satisfying knowing how an author ticks. In this book, readers get to know the real Sherri.
I don't recommend this Book because...
How could I not recommend it? It's a small masterpiece.
Further Comments...
I can only say that I have and will buy more Sherri L. Gibson books if I can. She is one of the most competent talented writers on the market.
