This is a book about the development of languages with a focus on English but context from all over the world.

Any writer or linguist.

The passion with which this was written. I'm someone who finds language fascinating, but I know it's a dry subject for many people. Finding a book written by someone who understands and exceeds that level of passion was absolutely amazing and I learned so much.

I feel like I could read this book a dozen more times and keep learning things.

Study language. Write. Do something really unique.

Burgess talks a lot about how the duty of a writer is to preserve the language of the time, and it really made me want to experiment with words and do something out of the box and incorrect and brilliant.

Proud.

It's always nice reading a book that validates your passions, especially when they're passions you don't get many opporunities to share with the people in your life.

Is one of the authors I have the most respect for. I cannot wait to read more of his work.

I think it will give readers more appreciation for the words they use and the way they use them.

It is challenging. For someone who doesn't have a deep appreciation of foreign language, I can imagine long sections would be difficult to get through.
