Summary of this Book...
This is the sequel to 'The Family Upstairs.' Make sure you read them in order. In this book, Lucy is living with her brother Henry, along with her children Marco and Stella. She has a relationship with her daughter Libby.

When the property (the horror house) at Cheyne Walk is sold, Henry and Lucy know they must move the bones of Birdie from the roof of the house. They dump them in the river, but, inevitably, they are discovered. As the detective, DI Samuel Owusu, tries to figure out, first, who the bones once were, and then who murdered her, Lucy and Henry are scared of what might happen. Added to that. Henry (still seemingly psychopath) is obsessed with finding Phin. He flies to the US because he's discovered Phin is in Chicago.

Lucy races after Henry, afraid of what he might do if he finds Phin. There is the sub-story where we see the narrative of Rachel, Michael's wife. Once the police find his body in France, Lucy is terrified they will come after her.

I like the end of this book. I won't give anything away because it's an exciting ride. But I felt satisfied, and that's all I'll say.
This type of Book is good for...
Thriller fans. It is psychological, but also there is a police presence that the first book in the series didn't have.
I especially liked...
Lucy. She is so courageous, after everything she's been through. I love her relationship with Libby. I love how I was holding my breath, waiting for Lucy to get into trouble. That really had me on the edge of my seat.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read more Lisa Jewell! I have a couple of her books, but I'm trying to eke them out.
This Book made me feel...
Excited. Tense. Anxious. Happy.
The author of this Book...
Lisa Jewell. I love this writer. Her thrillers are fantastic.
I recommend this Book because...
It's thrilling.
