It’s a bummer the box set doesn’t have an audiobook version, but I’m fairly certain you can get the audiobooks as stand-alones. Even if you can’t, the Kindle versions are totally worth the read.

This is the third-one of one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The first one of the best purchases was the first volume of the series. The second one was the second volume of the series. You get a big chunk of awesomeness all in one package.

The show is an absolute blast, teetering on the edge of utterly absurd. A significant portion is pure slapstick, while the remainder revolves around bizarre predicaments that the main character finds himself embroiled in. Yet, it's all wonderfully preposterous, showcasing some of the most endearing characters I've had the pleasure of meeting. Surprisingly, this series, which frequently had me howling with laughter, is heavily driven by its characters. Each and every one, including Splurt—who might as well be a sentient blob of green Jell-O—is remarkably charming. Take that as you will, but trust me when I say Splurt stands out among a lineup of truly remarkable characters. Sure, there's a fair share of Deus Ex Machina moments providing convenient escapes for our protagonists from their predicaments, but honestly, I'm not bothered. Hanna Barbara's Scooby-Doo played the same tricks, and you can't convince me I've outgrown my love for Scooby and the gang.

Reading these books, I found myself laughing out loud in ways that remind me of Deadpool. The comedy, rooted in absurdity, is brought to life by the characters in a way that feels completely natural. Despite occasionally leaning towards the juvenile, I maintain that this series is laced with some of the sharpest, most clever humor I've encountered in a comedy series for quite some time. It's an absolute must-read. Dive in and enjoy.
