Not sure what this is about. You need to write what you want to write. Where are the best ideas coming from? Write them in whatever form you want. Asking others for advice seems odd.

Well, if you are open to all sorts of ideas, I know that "The Quills"

(the WdC version of the Oscars) are always in need of good non-fiction pieces. Maybe write some essays or other non-fiction. Of course, then you should advertise them on the newsfeed and definitely check the Community Newsfeed (which you should do anyway) very frequently in December and January for folks asking if you have something to consider for nomination.

Of course, there's no guarantee of nomination. And if you get nominated, there's no guarantee you will win. But still, it's nice to have the chance.

Non-fiction is always a category that is in short supply. That's my vote.

If you want to create something awesome, and follow through to the end, it's best to follow your heart. I find writing to random prompts (there's tons of them here on WdC) is a great way to fall across stories that take on a life of their own, revealing ideas you are passionate about, which makes you write in a way that makes us passionate to read.

It doesn't hurt to have an audience in mind, of course, but it's what you have inside that your audience doesn't expect that will wow them. I don't think they can tell you what that is, frankly.

Hello, fellow writers and readers. I'm so happy people are enjoying my work here. I have an offer for you all, from one author to another.

Starting now, I will be giving people reviews in exchange for reviewing "Desperate Times"

. For each critique I get which is long enough to trigger the auto-reward points system, I will look at one of your works and give my sincerest thoughts. If you review multiple chapters, I'll review the same number of your works. I might of course do more than that if I feel like it, so people with similar tastes will naturally benefit even more.

I plan on writing many more chapters, but reviews I receive now will help develop my work and motivate me to write even more.
