What a well written piece. It is truly sad when we lose a loved one but especially sad when it happens on a holiday. I lost my Mom right after the holiday season but I understand fully what your feelings must be. Hope you continue writing.

This was truly a joy and a pleasure to read,kind of reminded me of myself,as I myself was once that little curly haired redhead.This is truly a great piece,makes me want to go out and play in the rain like I too did as a child.Great job of helping us all hopefully remember a little bit of the child in our all.

I truly enjoyed this piece for I too can't sing worth a lick.My father always told me I couldn't carry a tune in a wooden buckey but that never stopped me from singing,I think I do it just to bug people.Well written.

Very well written,made me want to continue reading just to find out what he was going to do next. Only found one grammatical error in the first paragraph. The line reads,"he lied down on the bed".Was wondering if you meant to say he "layed" down on the bed?Wasn't sure whether or not you had even noticed.Otherwise,great job.
